The Introduction is for new readers. If you’ve been here before simply scroll down and get your Quickie:)

Introduction: Welcome to Kate’s Quickies, my mini blog posts where I give you one link or one video to help you on your writing journey.

Why one? Because you already know there are tons of great writing blogs and websites out there with lots of information.

Putting it simply, this is the place to go to if you want to get some great info from the pros so you can quickly get on with your life and your writing.

If you comment, I’ll reply but please don’t feel guilty for not leaving a comment. Consider Kate’s Quickies a no guilt zone. All links eventually end up on the Kate’s Quickies Page at the top of the blog so feel free to come back anytime.

Today’s post has several links so you might want to grab a cup of joe or juice:)

In my humble opinion, Candace Havens is one of the most energetic authors and writing teachers on the web.  In mid-June she’s offering two free classes via her Yahoo Group Write_Workshop.

The first class is being taught by bestselling author Roni Loren who is teaching How To Write Love Scenes Readers Won’t Skip. “Whether you’re writing YA, thrillers, or melt-the-pages romance, no one wants to write love scenes that have readers skimming the pages. Learn tips and tricks on how to write different types of love scenes, how to tailor them to your genre, the components of a great love scene, and how to get past any oh-no-my-mother- might-read-this qualms.”

If you were unable to attend the DFW Writer’s Conference, (I heard it was fantastic!!!) the second class will be taught by Jenny Martin, who is teaching her DFW workshop Finding and Strengthening Your Voice. Go here to find out more about Candace, her workshops and the free classes:  Candace Havens Workshops

Last week’s Kate’s Quickie, Analyze the Websites of Bestselling Authors was a big hit. Seems as though I’m not the only one needing website guidanceJ Jan Bear the author of Market Your Book blog also offers a FREE ten lesson class, Writer’s Website Planning.

Three classes and four authors willing to give their precious time and expertise to help you along the path to your writing dreams for FREE. How cool is that?

Enjoy your day,  take a deep breath, and go write something good.

“See” you in class!

Kate~
